My Top 5 Craft Supplies

September 3, 2019

When it comes to crafting, I tend to be craft supply hoarder. There’s just something exciting about buying craft supplies. I’ve purchased items that I haven’t touched in months. But I do have certain supplies that I use on an everyday or weekly basis.

These are my top 5 craft supplies

  1. Cricut Maker

I use my Make Everyday, I seriously Love this machine.

Most of the products I create are party decorations, such as cake toppers, banners, photo props, cupcake toppers, treat bags, and more. The maker makes the process go smoothy and best of all the cuts are perfect. You can use this cutting machine to cut a variety of paper:

  • card stock
  • vinyl
  • balsa wood
  • linen
  • leather
  • vellum
  • magnet sheets and so much more)

The maker comes in gold, pink, blue, lavender, and mint green. (I own the gold and mint green)

You can purchase it from Cricut’s website, Michaels, or Amazon. Its currently listed on Amazon for $369.00

2. Cricut Mats

Its obvious, if you’re using a Cricut, you’re going to need mats. And you didn’t hear it from me but people who own the machines use these mats as well. So you know they’re good.

You can read my Cricut Mat Guide to find out what each mat is used for.

Mats can be purchase individual or a group at Cricut.com, Michaels, and Amazon.

3. Epson Printer.

Im currently using the Epson Workforce 7620.

I’ve been told, they’re no longer making the 7620 and the newer one is the 7720

The main reason I made this purchase is because its a wide format printer and the back feeder. The back feeder allows me to print on card stock (I always print on the 110lb white card stock). And I can print on 12 by 24 inch paper. It’s the best for your large projects.

I use this printer to create everything.

  • centerpieces
  • cup cake toppers
  • cake toppers
  • gable boxes
  • capri sun labels
  • chip bags (when i don’t print at Staples)
  • banners
  • photos
  • school projects
  • and so much more

4. Glue Pen

If you work with small pieces, this is the best thing you can purchase to glue them. The glue is blue but dries clear. You’re able to just put a small drop because of the fine point tip. I Love this thing.

I use them to glue all my small pieces.

You can purchase the from Michaels or Amazon (which sells a three pack).

5. Adhesive Foam Circles.

I use these a whole lot, when I want to give my projects some detention instead of just gluing them flat. They’re available in 1/2 & 1/4 in. I always buy both, 1/4 inch is used on the really small pieces.

Theres 112 in the 1/2 in pack and 264 in the 1/4 in pack.

And it only cost $3.19 at Michaels.
