Believe it or not but the Cricut Mug Press is really simple to use. And this Zombie Halloween Mug is a great project that’s beginner friendly and fun to make.
Supplies Needed:
- Cricut (Im using the Explore 3)
- Green mat
- Cricut Ceramic Mug (Im using the 12oz mug)
- Black Infusible Ink
- Cricut Mug Press

We’re going to start off in Design Space. You want to find the blank mug file and a few Zombie files.

When you find the “Regular Ceramic Mug Designs” file, choose the size mug that you’ll be using, then add it to the Canvas but DO NOT change the size. These files are already sized to match the mug you’re using.
Size your Zombies to find inside the mug design.

Highlight the entire design then attached them. The attach option is on the bottom right side of the screen, its right next to the weld option. Next, and the most important is to save your project.
Then send your project to cut. The setting you’re going to choose is the Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet. Design space reminds you to mirror your image but in this case the Zombies can face in any direction.

Your infusible ink should be placed face up on your mat. I used the Cricut brayer to press the material down on the mat since I wasn’t using a brand new mat. This is not a necessity. If your mat is sticky, just place the infusible ink sheet on the mat.
When your design cuts, the next step is to weed your design. When it comes to weeding infusible ink sheets, its totally different from weeding vinyl. Vinyl tents to be a little soft, but infusible ink sheets feel like light card stock. Just remove the outer design and leave the zombies on the paper.

Then you’ll wrap the design around the mug with the pointed pieces being placed under the handle.

Plug your mug press in and press the power button. The press will let you know once its headed and ready.
Slide your mug in and press the side panel down to start the pressing process. Once the mug is complete, you’ll see all of the dots light up green and a beeping sound will go off.

Be very careful when taking the mug out of the Mug press. The machine does feel hot, you can actually touch it. The hot pieces are the mint green that wraps around the mug. The mug will also be really hot, so take your time removing it from the press. Slide it up and place it down and let it cool for a while. You can wear protective gloves to remove it if you rather be on the safe side.
And that is all, that’s how you make a Halloween Mug with Infusible and and the Cricut mug press.
I hope you enjoy this project. I would love to see your projects if you decided to make sone as well. You can also tag me at thecraftprint on IG so I can enjoy your project along with you.
