- Card stock / Glitter card stock
- Acetate sheet
- Ribbon
- Glue gun / sticks
- Naughty but Nice clipart
So I decided to make these cute boxes for Christmas and I know you guys will love them as much as I do. They don’t take long and you don’t need a lot of supplies to create them yourself, just a cutting machine, card stock, and a sheet of acetate. They are a perfect way to present a gift for the holidays or any occasion.

The image we’re using in named “Chocolate Box” and its available in Design Space, if you’re subscribed to Access then its free, if not then its $0.99

When you add the image in to Designs space it will have two boxes. The one one the top is a smaller box and the two on the bottom makes a larger box. The one on the bottom is the one we’re using.
Ungroup the image and delete the top box on the top along with with widow cut out for it.
Then group the two bottom pieces and change the height to 10.5 inches.
And the box is ready.
I have the project saved for you already. click here

This image was purched from Mujka Clipart for $3 (it comes as a set of 3).
Import the image, then duplicate it. Then go to the fill option at the top of the screen and change one of them to “No Fill” that’ll make it a cut file of the shape of the image.
Unlock that cut file and stretch the width and height so its a little bigger than out image.
Put them together and group them. Once you’ve dont that, put the image on top of the widow area of the box just to see if the size is good enough for you. If not then adjust it to the size you like.
And now we’re ready to cut.
Send everything to cut and choose the setting that matches the material you’re cutting. When it comes to the two pages for the actual box, you can use the scoring stylus or the scoring wheel.

Now that you’ve cut all of the pieces, its time to assemble.

First we’re going to glue the image to the glitter background. You can use a glue gun or a glue pen.

We’re going to fold all of the scoring lines. I use any flat tool to press a little harder to create a sharper fold. All scored lines should be folded inward.

Now that that’s complete, peel the protective film off of the acetate paper. (its on both sides.

Use your glue gun to put glue all around the area that will be the widow. Then place the acetate sheet on top. For this you would have to move swiftly because the glue gun dries so fast.

To create the box, put glue on the small flap on the side of the box and it will be attached to the second piece. but you’re not gluing both small taps together. Each tab gets glued to the flat side of the other piece

Like this. Then repeat for the other side and out box is put together.
We just have to close the top and bottom and add or image and ribbon.

This side gets folded down first.

Then the two side flaps get folded down and the little tabs get tucked into to the first part we folded down.

And the last piece gets tucked right in.
And the bottom of our box is closed.
Wasn’t that simple?
I know it was. LOL

As for the top, just line up the holes and put your string through it. I don’t have a specific measurement for the ribbon, just cut off any length you like.

I am not the best at tying a bow but I tied it like a shoe lace. (don’t laugh at me)
But it turned out cute.
Now its time to add our little guy and we’re done.

I used the glue gun to just put him right along the side of the window, that way you can see whatever item you place in the box.
And we are done.
