FREE SANTA CLAUS /CHRISTMAS SVG

December 8, 2022

(this post does contain affiliate links. I earn a small commission when you make a purchase)

There’s so many projects you can do with my free Santa Claus / Christmas svg. If you’re not familiar with svg files, they’re basically “layered cut files.

Because they’re layered files, you’re able to change the colors as well, so Santa can be changed to any complexion you want.

As usual, you’ll need to grab your free Santa Claus / Christmas svg first. You can do so by going to my resource library , finding the file you’d like to download then clicking the title. When you click on the title, the file will automatically download.

If its your first time and dont have access to the password, just sign up HERE to my mailing list and it’ll be sent to you.

Now lets talk about a few projects you can make with an svg file.

Card stock projects

Cupcake Toppers

You can make them with layered card stock. All you’d need is your Cricut, Mat, lollipop sticks, and card stock colors. Cut all the layers then glue them together (you can use a glue pen for that). Then us a glue gun to stick them on the Lolli pop sticks.

A faster way to make them is just flattening the layers and print then cut. You’ll just need photo paper, printer and ink)

( I listed a video below to help you with print then cut on your Cricut)

Cake Topper

It would be the same process as the cupcake topper, except you’re making the cake topper size a little larger. (about 6 inches)

Cricut, Mat, lollipop sticks, and card stock colors. Cut all the layers then glue them together (you can use a glue pen for that). Then us a glue gun to stick them on the Lolli pop sticks. photo paper, printer and ink would be needed if you just wanted to print the cake topper.

Banner

How cute is this banner. You can repeat the same process but you’ll need the tenant shape indesign space. They have them for free. Just flatten your free Santa /christmas svg on the panner shape then send to print.

Not familiar with print and cut, then check out the video posted above and it’ll help you out.

Vinyl and Heat Transfer Vinyl Projects

Christmas Apron

This might look like its a hard project but its not. Just get a blank apron some htv (heat transfer vinyl) and a heat press. I use the Cricut Auto Press and Heat Press from Heat Press Nation. If you dont have a lot of space for these bigger machines, you can use on of the Easy Presses.

Cut the layers of heat transfer vinyl on your Cricut then layer and press on the apron.

T-shirt

I love making t-shirts. These can actually be uses to make custom Christmas pajamas too.

The process would be the same as the apron: just with a t-shirt, htv (heat transfer vinyl) and a heat press. I use the Cricut Auto Press and Heat Press from Heat Press Nation. Or Easy Presses.

Libby Cup

This project requires no heat so you’ll be using regular vinyl. Cut on your Cricut and layer on you libby cup.

I’ve listed a video below if you need help with adding vinyl to a libby cup. I used a file from Halloween but that’s also listed in my resource library. So you can download that and save it for next Halloween.

Sublimation Projects.

Christmas Mug

When people hear sublimation project, they usually think its hard but it truly isn’t. Once you have the right supplies, you’re good to go. You’ll need a sublimation printer, sublimation ink, and sublimation paper to start. Then your sublimation blank (we’re using a mug) and some butcher paper. And of course a mug press.

Print your image on the sublimation paper, (always mirror your image) then wrap it around the cup, secure it with heat resistant tape. Then press it with the mug press.

I’ve listed a video below if you’re not fimiliar with using the Mug Press.

Ornament

The sublimation process will be the same, just on a different product. In this case it’ll be a sublimation blank ornament.

With your a sublimation printer, sublimation ink, and sublimation paper . Print to match the size of your ornament (dont forget to mirror the image) then press with your heat press or auto press.

New sublimation?? Don’t worry, I got you. check out my sublimation video to help you out.

There so many more projects you can create with my Free Santa / Christmas svg file but these are just a few an my personal favorite. You can also add words or other images if you like.
