If you’re like me then you have a shirt for most holidays and national days. And now we can add an Earth Day t-shirt to the collection.
Im really a paper crafter but I enjoy making t-shirts for myself. If you’re a little hesitate to try this, Im telling you its super easy and you’ll enjoy doing it.
You’ll jus need:
- Cutting machine & mat (Im using my Cricut Maker)
- T-shirt
- Weeding tool
- Easy Press or a Heat Press
- Mat
- Iron on vinyl.
- Earth Day File
You can make it on any color or design t-shirt you would like. It actually would be great on a resale bag.
Once you download your file, upload it in Design Space. If you’re not a designs space user, that’s okay too. This is an svg file so it can be used in other programs.
You’ll want to highlight all of the words then attach them so they cut together when sent to the mat.

Then put your blue circle on top (or behind) then Group all of them together. Chang your size to suit your shirt. Im using a Large mens shirt and I put the height at about 8 inches. Its solely up to you where you would like to place your Earth Day design.
Send your design to cut and don’t forget to mirror your images. (even the blue circle)

I cut on the Everyday Iron on setting on the Maker.
It doesn’t take very long to cut. Now the fun part begins. Its weeding time.
Weeding basically is removing the excess htv that won’t be pressed on the shirt.

Take your weeding tool and just pull all the pieces off. I love this part of making shirts, its pretty relaxing and therapeutic to me.

Now we get our t-shirt. Im have a Gilden (Mens Large) from Michaels. Its was a little wrinkled so I made sure to iron it out before pressing the design. And to avoid any little particles messing up your design, use a lint brush and go over the shirt after you iron it.

Im using the large Easy Press and I set the degrees to 350 and the time to 30 seconds.
To make sure the design is staring I slayed the working first then slipped the blue circle under it to make sure its set in the right place. Then removed the words and left the circle in the exact place I needed it. Press it with the easy press first for about 15 seconds, let it cool, then peel it off.
Once that step is done, place the working on top to line up with the circle and press for 30 seconds.

Let it cool down, then peel off. And just like that, we made out own Earth Day t-shirt. It so so simple and so fun.

But wait, there’s more. I’ve joined up with 19 other great Crafters who also have free Earth day svg files that you can use on more fun project.
