Ready for some Summer fun? I know I am.
Guys, crafting doesn’t have to be hard, there’s a lot of fun easy projects to make. Like these DIY Popsicle Fans. The kids can make them on their own. (if they’re old enough to work a Cricut) If not, they can just help with the glueing part of the project.
These popsicles can also be used as photo props or even party decorations and centerpiece. Just have fun with them.
- Cricut Maker (or cutting machine of your choice)
- Mats
- Cardstock (65lb)
- 1 Cream
- 1 Bright red
- 1 Dark red
- 1 Dark brown
- 1 Light brown
- 1 Blue (any blue of your choice
- Glue gun with glue sticks
- Wood Craft Sticks

We’re going to start by opening up Design Space and choosing the “Summer Popsicle” File
I only used the chocolate and the red/white/blue one. If you want, you can make all three.
Once you have your project on the mat UnGroup them.

Because we’re adding our own Popsicle stick, you’re going to Hide the layer with the stick shape on it
Now Highlight one popsicle and group the layers. (the group option is at the top right of your screen, right next to the UnGroup option) Once you do that you’re going to group together the other popsicle.
On the trop of the canvas theres an option to change the size. We’re going to change the height (H) to 7.5 inches.

And now we’re ready to cut. Save your Project First. Then all the layers will be arranged on the left side of the screen.
Change the number of Project Copies to 2. I always cut my 65lb card stock on “Heavy Watercolor Paper” and if Im using 110lb card stock, I cut on “Glitter Card stock” I just like paper settings to be heavier than my paper.
For this project I used 65lb paper.

Cut all your layers then its time to Grab the glue gun and assemble.

Layer them before you glue, just to make sure you know where everything goes.
Then glue all the pieced together. One side first of course. Then you’re going to flip it over and glue on the stick.

Repeat the process for the back of the fan and we’re all done.
Now wasn’t that easy.
