Sports Themed T-shirt

August 15, 2020

Some of us can’t choose just one sport that we love, so here’s a shirt for the lovers of all.

Supplies Needed:

  • Cutting machine & mat (Im using my Cricut Maker)
  • T-shirt
  • Weeding tool
  • Easy Press or a Heat Press
  • Mat
  • iCreate Ruler
  • Iron on vinyl. I used a puff vinyl on the black, purchases from Blissful Customs.
  • Free Sports svg file ** Down Here **

How that you have your supply list, lets get crafty.

Open design space and upload the svg file. Then change the width to the size you need. I set mine to 8.5 inches.

Ungroup the project and move the balls to the side.

Highlight all of the letters and attach them.

Now the most important step is to SAVE. Choose the name you want to save it as but make sure you save your project. Then choose the machine you’re cutting with and click “Make It”

Switch every layer to be layered.

Now its time to cut.

Choose the “Everyday Vinyl” Setting and place your vinyl shiny side down. Cut each layer

After each layer is cut, weed all of them and cut the clear layer on the balls close to the design as possible and place it on the space in the working page so you’re only pressing one time instead of each each layer separately.

Your easy press needs to be set to 315 degrees and 30 seconds. Lay the mat down and the shirt on top of the mat. Take the easy press and iron out the shirt for 5 seconds.

Line the iCreate ruler up to the neck of the shirt to determine where you want to place your design.

Lay a piece of butcher paper on top of the design then lay the easy press on top of that. Press start then hold for the 30 seconds recommended. Let it cool for a few seconds and remove the clear sheet. The individual balls will need their clear sheet removed separately.

And there you have it. Your very own Sports themed t-shirt. This shirt is great for anyone, girl, boy, young or old. This is a design that everyone can use.

And because these projects brings us so much joy, we also have 11 other free sports themed files with the tutorials for you.
