5 Craft Room Organization Tips

October 6, 2021

My top 5 Craftroom Organization Tips can be utilized by every crafter. Theres always some kind of debate between crafters, lik: Cricut vs Silhouette. But one thing all crafters can green on, is that we are always cleaning and organizing our space. And we always need more space and supplies.

Tip 1: Peg Boards

Pegs boards are great because you can organize a large variety of items on them and they’re really affordable. Head to Home Depot for the cheapest option. They even cut the large piece for you, for free.

Disclosure: Please note that some of the links in this post are affiliate links, and are no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you decide to make a purchase after clicking through the link.

With pegboards you have a large variety of accesssories you can purchase to store your supplies. The list below are some of my favorite items to use.

Tip 2: Bookshelves

There’s more than one way to use a bookshelf. I turned mine on its side and placed it under one of my desk to store my acrylic sheets. I also had someone reinforce each shelf so it doesn’t fall.

Tip 3: Stackable Shelves

These stackable shelves are actually uses for shoes. But I assembled them without the middle shelf and use them to stack my Cricut cutting machines.

Tip 4: Bins & Stackable Caddy

There’s millions of different types of bins and containers so Im gong to focus on the ones that I use.

To avoid clutter, I put away all the supplies that I don’t use often and the seasonal ones in a closet. I purchase them from either Target, Amazon, or Homedepot. You can choose colors and sizes. I just bought any LOL, they dont match but they’re closed up in a closet, so no one is going to see them. I also use stackable caddies from Micheals to store my smaller supplies and miscellaneous items.

Tip 5: Drawer and Card stock Organizers

I absolutely love clear storage, so these drawers and card stock storage are my favorite. The clear drawers are from Michaels and its 3 drawers together. I stacked two of these together. Right now Im storing small acrylic pieces that I cut on the Glowforge.

The clear stackable card stock storage pieces are from scrapbook.com. I purchased them a few years back. They’re currently discontinued but they do have another brand available.
